Description
The NAICS Code is 332994. Utilizing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00174-12-G-0001, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division EOD Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD), Indian Head, Maryland, intends to issue a Cost plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) order on a sole source basis to BAE Systems Land & Armaments L.P., Armaments System Division, Louisville, KY 40214-2683. The contractor shall provide on-site instructors for conducting the MK 38 MOD 2 Organizational Level Operation and Maintenance (O&M) training and the MK 38 MOD 1 and 2 Combined Organizational Level O&M at both CSCS Dam Neck and CSCS San Diego. The two courses will not be offered concurrently at a given location. A Navy instructor will work with the contractor instructor for the MK 38 MOD 1 and 2 Combined Organizational Level O&M specializing in the MK 38 MOD 1. One contractor instructor will be assigned to each of the schoolhouses. The government does not authorize additional training for new instructors. The instructors shall: a. Report each day to work eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week. b. Conduct the one-week MK 38 MOD 2 Organizational Level O&M course or the MK 38 MOD 1 and 2 Combined Organizational Level O&M as required c. Provide MK 38 MOD 2 gun mount maintenance as required d. Assist Navy instructor with MK 38 MOD 1 gun mount maintenance e. Support planning and coordination of the training courses with appropriate government entities. f. Ensure the training facility is ready for each class. g. Ensure training materials for the students is in place prior to starting each class. The training schedule for each class shall be determined by the training community in conjunction with IWS3C and NSWC IHD Picatinny. This requirement covers all classes for FY14. BAE Systems Land & Armaments L.P., ASD, is the only known company with the requisite technical qualifications and facilities to perform the work in the required time frame. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
