- Description
- The USDA Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, intends to acquire by contract roadway decommissioning of National Forest Road (NFR) 7713000. Work includes the removal and disposal of cross-drain culverts, diversion of stream channels, soil erosion and pollution control, removal and disposal of stream channel culverts, conservation at stream channel culvert removal sites, cross-ditch construction, excavation and placement of roadway embankment material, ditch filling, outsloping of the roadbed to drain, scattering of slash encountered in clearing operations, seeding and mulching of all disturbed areas. This project will result in the decommissioning of 1.87 total miles of road from MP 2.1 to MP.23, and is located approximately 20 miles northeast (NE) of Randle, Washington in the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. This project will be solicited as a Total Small Business set-aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237310 with a size standard of $33.5 million. The solicitation for this project will be made available on this website on or about August 16, 2013, with proposals due on or about September 3, 2013. Proposals will be evaluated base on price, past performance, experience, technical approach, and other factors. The estimated cost of construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible parties meeting the set-aside requirement will be considered for award by the government. Prospective contractors, must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the SAM Database will render an offeror ineligible for award. SAM replaced the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database.
