This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written soilicitation will not issued. Proposals shall be valid for a minimum of 60 days. The desired start date for the performance of this order is on or before 16 September 2013. The place of performance is at US Coast Guard Base Los Angeles-Long Beach, 1001 S. Seaside Avenue, San Pedro, CA 90731. This requirement is a set aside for small business with NAICS code 336611. The request for quote (RFQ) reference number is HSCG37-13-Q-6SP069 (attached). The objective of this requirement is to purchase a service for underwater body preservation of a small boat (USCG Boat MLB 47275). In particular, the Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, material, equipment, supplies, supervision, tools, license as necessary to prepare, waterjet, paint and preserve the underwater body of USCG Boat MLB 47275 in accordance with the attached statement of work (SOW). All applicable general requirements and specification requirement documents are attached. The Contractor must perform work as defined in the attached technical specifications. Quotes will be evaluated based on a "LOWEST PRICE TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE". The Service Contract Act applies to this solicitation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005.37. The following FAR Clauses applies: FAR 52.212-1, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items.
