- Description
- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of General Counsel (GC), intends to award a sole source contract to Westfield Group, to purchase various law publications, the only proprietary source that publishes hard copy legal reference publications as well as pamphlets and various report fiscal year upkeep services. The DOE is proposing to award a contract to purchase these materials that are necessary for the Office?s legal research. The DOE is using exemption to competition FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii), One Responsible source. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available for this requirement. If a firm believes the DOE should not pursue this sole source contract to Westfield Group, then they should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement by August 14, 2013 at 8:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time) via e-mail to Ellen.Clayton@Hq.Doe.Gov. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
