- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. The Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking qualified sources to perform dry-dock repairs of YON 291, a Fuel Oil Barge in Guam. A firm-fixed-price contract is anticipated for award on or about 25 September 2013. The information obtained from this notice is for market research only and will be used to determine method of procurement including whether to set-aside the procurement for small business or other set-aside programs. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Contractor's Facility Sampling of work to be performed: (1) Scheduling, Progressing, Material status and Associated Reports, (2) Docking/Un-Docking (3) Gas Free Services, (4) Fuel Tank Vent Piping (5) Clean and inspect Cargo Fuel Tanks (6) Main Deck And Superstructure, Preserve, (7) Hull Bottom To Boot Top, Preservation, (8) Boot Top To Top of Bulwark, Preservation, (9) Temporary Services Dry-Dock Provide (10) Deck House Interior, Preservation, (11) Hazardous Waste Removal, (12) Hull Zinc Anodes (13) Ultrasonic Hull Gauging, (14) Rub Rails (15) Voids (16) Safety Stanchions (17) Overhaul and repair of Diesel Engine (18) Cargo Fuel Pump (19) Cargo Fuel Oil Piping (20) Butterfly Valves (21) Globe Valves (22) Engine Room Fire Suppression System (23) Man hole Covers (24) Miscellaneous Repairs Interested parties must submit the following: (a) Company name, business size status (i.e., small, large, 8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.) (b) Capability and dry-dock facilities, or if dry-dock is unavailable, alternative plan to conduct hull inspection, testing and repairs requirement similar to the above work items. (c) Past performance information to demonstrate successful completion as a prime contractor of projects similar in scope and complexity to the work items above. If applicable, include contract numbers, project titles, project description, dollar amounts (award and final values), references with email addresses and telephone numbers. (d) The response shall not exceed 5 pages. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis.
