- Potential Contractor; Cassadaga Job Corps is accepting bids for the installation of two new Portico Entrances for the Healthcare Occupation Training building. Cassadaga Job Corps intends to competitively award a firm-fixed price (FFP) purchase order that represents the best value to Job Corps and The Department of Labor. Bid packages should include two (2) sections: technical and cost, along with the Representations and Certifications. Package will include a cover page with the administrative\business point of contact information (name, address, telephone number, fax number, email address). The technical proposal should include a resumes for the Business. The technical section should be no more than 3 pages, excluding resume(s) and the Representations and Certifications. Resume(s) should be no more than one (1) page and should detail the proposed personnel/business qualifications. The cost section should be submitted in accordance with the offeror’s accounting structure with an estimated start and completion date. There is no page limitation on the cost section. All work will include a warrantee on labor and materials or parts. They will be installed on the building’s main and secondary entrance. Scope of work is as follows; 1.Main Entrance Portico (North Side) shall be 10’ wide and 5’ deep; the secondary entrance on east side of building shall be 8’ wide and 3’ deep. Attach rear of Portico to existing roof. Remove existing roof material as needed to integrate. Replace any existing material that becomes damaged by new work. Valleys shall have new stainless steel sheet metal flashing installed. Flashing at valley shall extend 24 inches in each direction at minimum. 2.Portico roof shall be hip style with a flat front. Roof slope to match building existing slope, but not less than 3/12. The Portico shall be designed for a minimum of 40 psf. or per New York State code if higher. Roof material shall be 22 gauge standing seam metal with Kynar 500 finish on plywood deck with 30# felt paper. Metal color shall match existing. Locate new roof fascia at same elevation as existing. Height of new fascia shall also match existing. Provide aluminum gutters and downspouts per International Building Code (IBC), 2013, 1503.4. Provide snow guards on all sides of new canopies. 3.Portico columns shall be tube steel posts with steel beams supporting trusses/rafters two feet on center. Provide poured concrete footings at all support posts. Bottom of footings to be six inches deeper than frost depth, but not less than 48 inches below finished grade. Provide six inch compacted gravel base below footings. Paint all structure with corrosion-resistant paint. Color to be determined by center from contractor provided samples. 4.Coordinate warranty of new installation with warranty of existing roof. New construction shall not void the existing warranty. Additionally, contractor will be required to have a 2-year workmanship warranty 5.Please include a working drawing and bill of materials with your bid.
