PICTURE 2 PICTURE AUK SPECIFICATIONS STATEMENT OF WORK J- RENEW THE FLEXIBLE AND HYDRAULIC HOSE ASSEMBLIES ABOARD NOAA SHIP OKEANOS EXPLORER NOTICE DATE: AUGUST 2, 2013 Notice Type: Pre-solicitation NAICS: 336611 - SHIP BUILDING AND REPAIRING Contracting Office: Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Regional Acquisition, 200 Granby Street, Suite 815, Norfolk, VA 23510 The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Regional Acquisition, Norfolk, VA on behalf of National Ocean Service, Gerry E. Studds Stellwagen Sanctuary is soliciting a requirement for annual shipyard services for NOAA research vessel AUK (R5001). Provide all labor, material and equipment in accordance with the attached Statement of Work, "Annual Shipyard Services, NOAA Research Vessel AUK". This RFQ is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611, which has a corresponding size standard of 1,000 employees. Solicitation number EA-133C-13-RQ-0672 will be issued August 2, 2013 and will close August 22, 2013. The total period of performance for all work specified in the Statement of Work is ARO through December 15, 2013, with the exceptions of September 12 - 24, 2013 and October 1 - 22, 2013 when the vessel will not be available. A mandatory pre-bid inspection will be held on August 15 and August 16, 2013. The Operations Coordinator, Dave Slocum, will be hosting the pre-bid inspection and can be reached at 781-545-8026 extension 222 for scheduling. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors specified in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated award date is on or about August 28, 2013. Contractors are encouraged to register with the FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service as well as the Interested Vendors List for this acquisition (see applicable tab within FedBizOpps where this synopsis/solicitation is posted).
