- Description
- The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, materials, tools and equipment, transportation, supervision and all operations to complete Project No. ZNRE 13-1801, Replace Steam Traps, Various Buildings, Yokota Air Base, Japan. The following scope of work is expressed in general terms and in no way limits the Contractor's responsibility: The general work scope is to remove existing steam traps and replace them with new at twenty-four (24) project buildings. Thermostatic radiator traps serving radiators or fan convectors shall be replaced with new thermostatic radiator traps. Traps in mechanical rooms or at building exterior are excluded from the scope. All other end traps or traps serving various heating equipment shall be replaced with and inverted bucket type steam trap. Also included is any required lead-based paint abatement, asbestos abatement. The magnitude of this project is expected between Y41,201,750 ($500,000) and Y82,403,500 ($1,000,000) in accordance with FAR 36.204 (e), which means the Government's Cost Estimate falls in this magnitude. Please e-mail to the Point of Contact (POC) below to receive further information on the subject project. Site Visit: The site visit for bidders is scheduled on 20 Aug 13, from 0900 hours through 1600 hours. We will prioritize project buildings and may not show all the 24 buildings. The Government will not provide transportation to participants. Therefore, the participants shall use own vehicles. The detail schedule will be provided to the participants. Participants who need to obtain a one-day pass shall make an appointment with the POC in advance, and come to the Gate 5 (Supply Gate) by 0830 hours. Bring the proper identification (valid passport or driver's license with 8 digits password). For the vehicle pass, bring the proper original insurance documents. Failure to provide the proper documentation may cause you unable to enter the base. LOCAL SOURCES ARE THOSE SOURCES NORMALLY RESIDENT, LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS IN JAPAN. OFFERS FROM NON-LOCAL SOURCES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION.
