- STATEMENT OF NEED FOR SUPPLY TERMS AND CONDITIONS SF 18 (for pricing) STATEMENT OF NEED FOR SUPPLY PURPOSE: To provide the NOAA Fisheries Behavioral Ecology Program two (2) UV Sterilizers that are central components of a UV sterilization system. Seawater corrosion resistance is a critical element in the identification and selection of material. Product must match and/or be of superior quality to the existing UV Sterilizers which are currently operating. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Specifications for marine fish rearing UV sterilizers: Seawater corrosion resistance is a critical element in the identification and selection of suitable materials. Also, the need to have a compatible unit, which is comparable, but of higher quality is highly recommended *Safeguard 1600 Watt "U-type" Plastic Single-ended UV System *Sealed Electrical/Lamp Connections *Durable, Heavy-Wall Plastic, Corrosion-Resistant Housing *Five (5) bulb design offers good UV penetration at lower operating costs **Bulb Lifespan: 9,000 hours of continual operation while retaining >80% Efficiency **4" PVC Flange Inlet/Outlet **UV-C Output Watts: 490 Watts **Approved Flow Rate @ 90% UV Transmissibility and 180,000 µWs/cm2 Irradiation (Protozoa Kill Level): 141 GPM **Water Flow Meter add on for PLC Control System *one star: indicates specifications relating to corrosion resistance for UV Filter **two stars: indicate specifications relating to performance requirement for UV Filter DELIVERABLE SCHEDULE: (if applicable) Date of Award - November 30, 2013 (Allow 4-5 weeks from time of order for products to arrive.)
