Description

This is a Request for information (RFI) for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The Government is not committed to issue a solicitation or award a contract pursuant to this announcement or based on responses to this announcement. This RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract as a result of this request. The RFI is issued for planning purposes only, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The Government will not entertain phone calls concerning this notice, and will not pay any costs incurred in the preparation of information for responding to this market research or the Government's use of the information. Proprietary information must be clearly identified as proprietary information. In accordance with FAR 15.201(E), responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research to determine commercial standards for Adult Diapers and Briefs. Specifically, VHA is assessing the minimum standards for Total Absorbent Capacity, Rewet Value, and Rate of Acquisition. In responding to this RFI please include the minimal standard for total absorbent capacity, rewet value, and rate of acquisition for the adult diapers your company manufactures or distributes. Also include any ISO Standard that your product has been tested for and found compliant. The Government also requests interested parties to submit a brief description of their business size (i.e. small business, 8(a), HUB Zone, woman owned, etc.), anticipated teaming agreements, whether commodities are available on GSA Federal Supply Schedules or any other Government-wide Agency Contracts (GWACs). Respondents should reference RFI Number VA119-13-I-0081 in their response. Submittal of information ELECTRONICALLY is required and faxed information will not be accepted.
