- Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation, Orlando, Florida has a requirement to rent a total not to exceed 6,000 square feet of self-storage space. At the time of this sources sought notice, the requiring activity anticipates a need for a total of 4,300 square feet of storage space which consists of 3,800 total square feet of climate-controlled storage space and 500 total square feet of non-climate-controlled storage space. Background: The agency is located in commercial buildings where no adequate storage space exists and is in need of a storage facility that can house excess furniture, cubicle walls and associated cubicle parts. The storage units will store the property of several agency business units. Acquisition Approach: The Government anticipates a Firm Fixed Price award. The Government anticipates making award based on Low Price Technically Acceptable basis. The Period of Performance (PoP) will be for one year from contract award with four option years. The formal solicitation may be issued at a later date by a separate announcement. Only prime contractors who are interested in renting self-storage space should respond to this Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information and shall describe their qualifications in the following areas in three (3) pages or less: 1.Located within seven (7) miles of the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation at 12350 Research Parkway, Orlando FL 32826-3276. 2.Ability to register in the System for Award Management and Wide Area Workflow, both of which are required to do business with the Federal Government. 3.Ability to accept payment in arrears for services rendered. 4.Ability to provide the following: -12 month rental of 250 sq. ft. non-climate controlled storage space -12 month rental of 2,600 sq. ft. climate controlled storage space -12 month rental of 250 sq. ft. non-climate controlled storage space -12 month rental of 200 sq. ft. climate-controlled storage space -12 month rental of 1,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled storage space -Access to moving trucks / box trucks as needed by the customers 5.Ability to begin providing the storage units required on 11 September 2013. 6.Description of the security provided for the storage space area. 7.Description of the hours of accessibility of the items in storage. 8.Personnel experience/qualifications in support of the effort as described above. Please do not include resumes. This is not a request for proposals. This announcement is for planning purposes only, to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in this requirement.
