Description
Notice Type: Class J&A for 6 months bridge extension for each of the contracts listed above. SYNOPSIS: Naval Air Warfare Training System Division (NWACTSD) intends to issue a Justification and Approval authorizes and approves on a sole source basis a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract modification to provide a 6-month bridge extension to the MH/CH-53, Aviation Electronic Warfare (EW), and AV-8B Aircrew Training Systems Curriculum Revision and Maintenance (R&M) Delivery Orders (DO) N61339-03-D-5017-0018, N61339-03-D-5016-0007, and N61339-03-D-5017-0019. The additional 6 months will sustain curricula revisions and maintenance support for all MH/CH-53, Aviation EW, and AV-8B platforms located at Naval Station (NS) Norfolk, VA, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, NC, MCAS Kaneohe Bay, HI, Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island, WA, and MCAS Cherry Point, NC which make up the MH/CH-53, Aviation EW, and AV-8B effort. The 6-month period of performance extension will cover the period 1 Oct 2013 to 31 Mar 2014 at which time a new competitive contract award for these services is expected to be awarded. The estimated cost of the 6-month extensions is $1,700,000 ($500,000, $600,000, and $600,000 respectively). Authority to act under this class justification expires 31 March 2014. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. No solicitations regarding this J&A will be issued and no proposals will be accepted. Questions regarding this synopsis only will be accepted in writing to brian.heaps@navy.mil; no telephone calls, facsimile transactions, or in-person inquiries will be accepted. All correspondence must reference 'TSC II MAC ID/IQ R&M Class J&A 2013.' The J&A will be posted 15 days after approval. Note that the Government will not be held liable (financially or otherwise) for or any costs incurred as a result of this notice or subsequent notices.
