- Description(s): This is a pre-solicitation notice. The Forest Service contemplates issuing a solicitation for Invitation For Bid (IFB) for the removal and replacement of a culvert at Sandy Beach located on Prince of Wales, Alaska. (Solicitation No. AG-0116-S-13-0090) will be advertised on or about Wednesday August 21st 2013 on the FedBizOpps website: A sealed bid will be held 30 days after release of the solicitation unless otherwise stated when the solicitation is posted. Contract award is anticipated within 7 days after the opening of bids. This will be a total small business set-aside. The period of performance is anticipated to be 420 days after a Notice to Proceed is issued. Estimated Price Range: $100,000 - $250,000 Interested concerns should monitor the FedBizOpps website to stay up-to-date on any amendments or other information that might be provided here. Thorne Bay is situated approximately 75 air miles northwest of Ketchikan, Alaska. The site is accessible by boat, fixed wing aircraft, barge, and the Alaska State Ferry system. The solicitation will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov with an anticipated Invitation For Bids (IFB) posting date on or about August 22nd, 2013. Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (see Internet site: http://www.sam.gov/). • If you had an active record in CCR (Central Contractor Registration), you should have an active record in SAM. You do not need to do anything in SAM, unless a change in your business circumstances requires updates to your Entity record(s).
