- This is a Sources Sought announcement for acquisition planning purposes. No formal solicitation for these items exists at this time. All eligible and qualified vendors may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements will be reviewed to determine quantity and availability of vendors who can provide the specified items listed below. The capability statements received will also be used to determine the Bureau of Reclamation's overall procurement strategy. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is: 333911 Pump and Pumping Equipment Manufacturing. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. The Bureau of Reclamation is looking for capable sources to provide pumps comparable to Tarby, Moyno, and Liberty Process Equipment for sanitary sewage. These equal pumps shall be compatible with Grundfos and Gould potable water treatment equipment. Capable sources shall also be able to provide repair and service for the existing inventory of equipment located in the water and wastewater treatment facilities serving Hoover Dam near Boulder City, NV 89006. "Existing equipment inventory" shall include, but not be limited to: all pumps, gear reduction equipment, sanitary sewage grinders, motor-operated valving, flow meters, electric motors, sanitary sewage mixers and skimmers, and wastewater aeration equipment. All of the existing pumps in the wastewater treatment plant are progressive cavity and are made by Tarby, Moyno, and Liberty Process. The existing sewage macerators (grinders) are manufactured by Moyno, the aeration basin mixers are Wilo-EMU, and the blowers are manufactured by Tuthill. The pumping equipment making up the water treatment and distribution systems are manufactured by Grundfos and Gould with chemical proportioning pumps manufactured by LMI and Blue/White Industries. All work and supplied equipment shall be in compliance with regulatory discharge permit requirements for the State of Arizona and the State of Nevada public health requirements for public water supplies. Capability statements are to be submitted no later than 4:00PM PDT Monday, August 12, 2013. The capability statement shall address the work listed above, demonstrate the company's capability to perform the work, and describe previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity. Additionally, all responses to this sources sought shall include company name and address, business size and type (8(a), HubZone, Small Business, etc), and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. Capability statements shall not exceed five pages in length. All responses to this sources sought notice shall be provided to Ms. Jessica Damian, Procurement Technician via e-mail to jdamian@usbr.gov.
