Description

Western Regional Contracting Office (WRCO) will be issuing a RFQ for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Other Health Insurance (OHI) Discovery Services at nine military treatment facility (MTF) locations within the Western Regional Medical Command (WRMC). The requirement is for the Contractor to perform OHI identification and verification on non-active duty patients seen as Inpatients, Ambulatory Procedure Visits, Observation Stays, and Outpatient Visits. Federal policy, specifically 10USC 1095, requires that all MTFs collect payment for medical services from DoD beneficiary third party payer/insurance companies fully allowed by law. The third party payer/insurance companies are obligated to pay the US Government the reasonable costs of hospital care provided in any Government facility to the uniformed services to a non-active duty beneficiary who is also a beneficiary under third party payer's plan. Collection from third party payers is accomplished through the DoD Third Party collection Program (TPCP). The period of performance is on/about 23 Sep 13 through 22 Sep 14 with no options.
