Description

ECS III Contract Holder List The National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) intends to negotiate on the basis of other than full and open competition an additional one year extension with all Electronic Commodity Store (ECS) III prime contract holders (please see attachment for a list of contract holders), under the authority of FAR 6.302-2, "Unusual and compelling urgency". The period of performance will be a one year extension period from November 26, 2013 to November 25, 2014. The basis for this action is that the extension of the ECSIII is essential to the continuity of the NITAAC program. The competitive follow-on contract beyond November 25, 2013 has not yet been synopsized and is contingent upon receipt of executive agent designation from the Office of Management and Budget. This extension will provide the Government the time necessary to solicit and award the follow-on contract to ECS III. This announcement constitutes the only notice. It is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A response to this notice is not required. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Comments to this announcement, referencing this Notice of Intent Number NITAAC-ECSIII-Extension, may be submitted in electronically to the Contracting Officer, Millicent Manning via e-mail at NITAAChelpdesk@mail.nih.gov.
