Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 5201 Raymond Street, Orlando, FL 32803, intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13 for a boiler control system. The North America Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 325998, size standard 500 employees. The government has determined that Nalco Chemical Co. is the only source that can satisfy this requirement. The J&A is attached. Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), the Orlando VA anticipates entering into a sole source procurements with Nalco Chemical Company. This announcement is for products for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can only be satisfied for supplies/services available from one source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored.
