- Sole Source: The United States Army Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Laser Techniques Company, LLC, 1431 Willows Road NE, Suite 100, Redmond, WA 98052. This contract will consist of one (1) Contract Line Item Number 0001, Quantity: 1, Unit of Issue: Each, 105-120-155mm UHPLBIS Cannon Gun Tube Support Stand. Delivery shall be made to United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), AZ 85365-9498. The 105-120-155mm UHPLBIS Cannon Gun Tube Support Stand will support cannon tube inspection and measurement capabilities for mission requirements. The 105-120-155mm UHPLBIS Cannon Gun Tube Support Stand is the one of the critical component of 105-120-155mm Ultra High Precision Laser Bore Mapping Inspection System manufactured by Laser Techniques Company (LTC). This new acquisition acquired under this purchase must be meet following requirements: Semi- alignment of the center structure of the 105-120-155mm UHPLIS Cannon Gun tubes Support Stand to UHPLIS Cannon Gun tubes system; Semi-automation in of calibration and inspection cannon laser bore mapping scans built-in within the UHPLBIS system software and configuration in the each 105mm, 120mm, and 155mm cannon gun tubes workspace and; Accuracy and engineering structure certification from origin of Laser Cannon Laser Bore Mapping manufactured by LTC Company. If this new acquisition was acquired from any other source, USAYPG would be forced to procure a new full turn-keyed cannon tube inspection system, which would result in a waste of over $170,000 in investment, plus loss of the existing capability of current equipment. The North American Classification Systems code 334515 with a size standard of 500 employees will be utilized for this requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed requirement. Responses other than the above source may identify their interest and capabilities to perform the requirement by submitting a proposal via email or facsimile with complete mailing address, point of contact, phone number, facsimile number, business size and shall be clearly marked with W9124R-13-T-0140.
