Description of Requirement: The 168th MXG has a requirement to replace 8 large diameter hoses (14 quote mark ) due to the frequent use along with wear and tear. The 8 hoses are on separate large electric hose reels in the Fuel Cell Maintenance hangar at Eielson AFB, AK. Half of them (blue) are used to supply fresh intake air and the other half (black) are used to exhaust/evacuate fuel vapors when doing maintenance on the aircraft. A large aluminum adapter head is attached at the bottom of the hose to facilitate the use of more portable hoses. The adapter is attached by a metal band that is bonded to the metal ribs to complete a grounding circuit and is secured with rivets. The purpose of this solicitation is for 8 new commercial grade hoses and 16 metal bands roughly 48 quote mark long each to provide a good overlap to secure the hoses to the adapter (bottom) and the fans(top) as well as provide a ground throughout. The material used for the hoses is not specified in this solicitation but the offeror will guarantee the product(hoses) for a minimum of 5 years. The mil thickness cannot be verified but a heavy duty rubber coating was observed when the pictures were taken. CLIN 0001: 4(ea.)
