- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is 1300363201 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-69. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 332999 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit quotes.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2013-08-16 11:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Fort Worth, TX 76127 The FLC - Jacksonville requires the following items, Brand Name or Equal, to the following: LI 001: Safety Dock Barriers. Model 2804 APS Dock Impact Barrier (UP TO 10'0" wide). Front Docks and Back Docks. Proper clearance required. The APS Dock Impact Barrier is a proven safety product that helps reduce the occurrence of dock accidents resulting from fork trucks, pallet lacks, and pedestrians falling off the dock when the overhead door is open. Lower impact barrier bar is constructed of 9/16"-thick steel cable inside a flexible fiberglass rail that is capable of stopping a 10,000 lb fork truck moving at 4 mph. Highly visible yellow nylon webbing provides an additional visual barrier at the dock. Prevents door damage from staging pallets. Manually operated gate style barrier. Motor operated - Pushbutton inside. In tube motor - 115 volt. Secures from theft. Keeps out insects, birds, and other pests. Deters trespassers and vandals. Allows outside air and light to pass through the opening. Improves employee comfort, security, and productivity. Increases security with its visual and physical barrier. Helps address theft and pilfering. Safety strips visible at front edges of the track. Achieves strength and rigidity across the opening by using fiberglass rods as a standard horizontal stiffener/wind load bar.
