Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The 21st Contracting Squadron is searching for vendors that can provide inspections and servicing for 150lb Halon Mobility Fire Bottles at Peterson AFB, CO. Minimum characteristics for service: 1. Inspect and perform one-time 6 year maintenance and hydrostatic testing, refilling and recharging on all 14 of the 150lb Halon flightline fire extinguishers. 2. 6 year maintenance and hydrostatic tests shall include replacement of parts. 3. Contents of each extinguisher will be emptied into a closed recovery system, interior examined, lubricated, valve stems and quad rings replaced, reassembled, hoses checked, nozzle, wheels, and other routine annual services to be provided. 4. Each fire extinguisher will be serviced per NFPA 10 requirements. 5. The Contractor shall use Halon provided by the Government. The Contractor will not be authorized to purchase Halon 1211 for these services. 6. Trained and certified person(s) who have undergone the instructions necessary to reliably perform inspections, maintenance, servicing and recharging of all portable and wheeled fire extinguishers and provide certificate(s) upon request. The certified person(s) shall have available the appropriate manufacturer's service manual(s), the proper types of tools, recharge materials, lubricants, and manufacturer's recommended replacement parts or parts specifically listed for use in the fire extinguisher and IAW with NFPA 10. 7. Inspections and servicing will take place on site at Peterson AFB, CO. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is anticipated to be 423990, Fire extinguisher sales combined with rental and/or service, merchant wholesalers. A Government requirement for this service is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest, capability, and socio-economic category of potential sources for the requirement. Please submit the following information: 1.
