Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7, intends to award a one year, and four (4) option years, sole-source contract to procure preventative maintenance services on Dornier Laser System currently utilized at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. The contractor supporting preventive maintenance services of Dornier Laser equipment shall provide: The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, parts, test equipment, lodging, transportation and allied expenses manuals, supervision, and software to provide unlimited service and preventive maintenance on the Dornier laser system. System is located at the Ralph H. Johnson, VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29401-5799. Dornier Medtech, America, Inc. provides full and exclusive service on their laser and does not provide maintenance training to either 3rd parties or the end user. Dornier Medtech America, Inc. will also not sell parts to 3rd party vendors. It is cost prohibitive to provide preventative maintenance or repairs on a time and materials basis. NAICS Code: 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance (Size Standard $19,000,000) This proposed procurement is for services for which the government intends to solicit and award with only one source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than August 2, 2013, 4 p.m. EDT. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
