Description
MXF-4035 LOS RADIOS Solicitation N00421-13-T-0492 is issued as a synopsis/solicitation. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase request on a full and open competitive basis, under the authority of FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. Request is set-aside for Total Small Business under the authority of FAR Part 52.219-6. The requirement is for MXF-4035 LOS Radios (P/N: 720358-801) manufactured by Raytheon. The GMV program requires radios that are compatible and interoperable with currently fielded systems and not subject to Co-channel interference (non-CCI). CCI radios would be subject to Communications Security (COMSEC) which would severely delay integration schedules. The Raytheon AN/PSC-5D Multi-Band transceiver is the current and primary Multi-Band, Multi-Mode Radio (MBMMR) used by NSW Command within the Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV). The MXF-4035 is the only known non-CCI radio that meets the Government's requirements for interoperability and effectively performs in the testing and evaluation of FOSOV communication systems returned for maintenance actions and repairs. Other than the requested equipment, there are no other known radios that meet the Government's requirements. Accepting proposals for Exact Match Only (MFR/Part Number, Model Number, etc...), ONLY New Equipment, NO Remanufactured, and all items must be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Similar or Substitute products will not be accepted. See Attached RFQ. Solicitation will close on 14 August 2013 at 1600 EST. The Government will not pay for any information received. For information contact: Bernie Cortez at 301-995-1773, FAX: 301-995-0875, or email: Bernie.Cortez@navy.mil
