SHIP NAME: USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73) SHORT DESCRIPTION: SHIP REPAIR & MAINTENANCE FOR USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73) PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 1 JAN 2014 (or date of award) through 30 SEP 2018 LOCATION OF SHIP CHECK: Yokosuka Naval Base, JAPAN LOCATION OF WORK: Yokosuka Naval Base, JAPAN When submitting your proposal, you must specify any hazardous material in accordance with FAR 52.223-3 (Hazardous Material ID) and DFARS 252.223-7001. When submitting your proposal, you must specify if you anticipate sea transportation in accordance with DFARS 252.247-7022. If there is a time limit on your offer, you must specify this at submission of your proposal. If there are any amendments to this RFP, please acknowledge them when submitting your proposal in the bid comment section. PREREQUISITES: Award of a contract resulting from this solicitation is restricted to firms which possess a current Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA). Attachment J-1: Detailed descriptions of Notional Work Package under Section J is available upon request by sending an email to Mr. Samson Fang at +81-46-816-8389 or samson.fang@fe.navy.mil. The following attachments are also provided: A. Attachment J-2, Exihibit A - Contract Data Requirements List B. Attachment J-3, Requisitioned & Scheduled Government Furnished Property (GFP). If you have any questions concerning this Solicitation, please feel free to contact at samson.fang@fe.navy.mil. (For Singapore, HK, and Korea - substitute Japan accordingly). This notice of procurement is exempted from the requirement of FAR 5.201(a) and (b) to synopsize proposed contract actions as exempted in FAR 5.202(a) (12) - The proposed contract action is by A Defense agency that will be made and performed outside the United States and its outlying areas, and only local sources will be solicited. This notice is intended only for local sources in Japan in accordance with FAR 5.202(a) (12). Only local sources will be considered. Local sources are business entities that are physically located in Japan and authorized (i.e. licensed and registered) to perform in Japan. Specifically, the prospective offeror must be fully authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of the resulting contract.
