Description
SOW RFQ REMUS 231 Upgrades, Optional 359 Center for Autonomous Vehicle Research Naval Postgraduate School The Center for Autonomous Vehicle Research (CAVR) at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) operates two REMUS Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) in support of its research programs. CAVR has a requirement to refurbish and upgrade its REMUS S/N 231, procured in 2002, to a configuration more compatible with REMUS S/N 359 and current CAVR research initiatives, including collaborative multi-AUV operations in confined spaces, underwater docking, and wireless communications. The contractor shall perform routine factory maintenance on REMUS S/N 231 to include inspection, testing, and calibration of the vehicle system. In addition, the contractor shall upgrade the REMUS S/N 231 vehicle configuration to include WiFi networking consistent with the REMUS S/N 359 and replace the existing vehicle computer with a new computer and operating system capable of simulating/controlling the vehicle's cross-body thruster modules. After completing routine factory maintenance and installation of these upgrades, the contractor shall perform all bench testing, sea testing, and factory acceptance testing. Finally, the contractor shall update all applicable vehicle documentation.This is a sole source requiremnet under FAR 6.302-1 to Hydroid Inc.
