Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1.0 General Description of Service. There are four (4) sumps requiring cleaning, two (2) dam sumps and two (2) powerhouse sumps. Each sump requires pressure washing and high head vacuum pumps and /or manual efforts to remove sedimentation as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). 1.1 Background. Drainage sumps require periodic pressure washing and cleaning to remove residue and sedimentation which does not get completely pumped out. Historically, the dam sumps collect lime deposits from the gallery walls leaching from the concrete into the gutter system which then drains into the sumps. 1.2 Safety Compliance. The vendor who is awarded this contract shall be required to provide the following prior to work commencing (see section 7.0 of PWS): a) Fall Protection Plan and certificate of training for employees on site. b) Confined Space Entry Plan for workers on site. c) Certificate of calibration with serial number for the four (4) gas monitoring instrument on site (see section 4.2 of PWS). d) Hazardous Energy Control training certificate (HEC) for all workers on site (see section 3.1). e) Communications Plan 1.3 Environmental Compliance. The vendor who is awarded this contract shall be required to provide the following prior to work commencing (see section 7.0 of PWS): a) Submit residual wastewater, wash-water, and sedimentation disposal plan.
