Description

The United States Air Forces Central Command (USAFCENT) Support and Reachback Cell (A7KQ) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract on a Sole Source basis to Riverbed Technologies. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 13.501(a), Sole source (including brand name) acquisitions. The period of performance for this contract is anticipated to be from on or about 10 September 2013 to 9 September 2014 with two (2) option years and is required to provide annual renewal to existing Riverbed (previously known as OPNET) software suite. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
