Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS Instron Tensile Testers FA8224-13-R-INTT THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The Ogden Air Logistics Complex is conducting market research to determine if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811219 - ($19.0M size standard) Other Electronic Precision Equipment Repair & Maintenance. The 309th Missile Maintenance Group (MMXG) is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential sources to provide services as required. The contractor shall provide experienced personnel for on-site calibration and repair (as needed) of three (3) Instron Tensile Testers (ITT). 309 MMXG is responsible for the upkeep and annual calibration of the ITT. The contractor shall answer the technical questions from the organic engineering staff tasked with oversight of the equipment. The Contractor shall perform annual scheduled on-site calibration and provide a certificate of calibration upon completion. If, at any time, any of the ITT needs repair; the Government Representative will contact the contractor to provide repair as needed. The contractor shall provide experienced personnel to execute ITT test procedures on each ITT. The testing shall be representative to verify all the ITT functions of the system. The location of the tests will be defined by the government. All tests are to be representative of the ITT certification tests in accordance with (IAW) original specifications established the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This task is in support of the 309 Aircraft Maintenance Group (AMXG) located at Hill AFB, UT. The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. Updated information will be provided in future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business opportunities homepage at www.fbo.gov. The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information. The Ogden Air Logistics Complex Contracting Directorate (AFMC), Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah, intends to issue a formal solicitation in the Sep/Oct 2013 timeframe for this effort. The Government contemplates a 3 to 5 year contract with the service to begin January 2014. The Government requests interested parties to submit a brief statement of current capability and responses to the attached capability questionairre. Include in your submission examples of relevant experience similar in scope and a letter of interest. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all large or small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hub-zone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. Interested and qualified sources should provide the following information: (1) company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers, type of business and size; (2) examples of relevant use of your product similar in scope and (3) information about your company and why you think you can produce, provide test samples and deliver this product.
