- Justification/further details This is a combined/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NIH-OLAO-OD3-RFQ3059357, and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-69). This acquisition will be processed as a fixed price requirement and is a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 511210, and the small-business size standard is $35.5 million. NIH has identified the need to renew Simio Team Edition Server Licenses to 1) augment the capabilities of the current toll being used for computer simulation projects/services, 2) evaluate changes to any real or proposed system and/or business process using a computer model, and 3) support transportation services, security and emergency response and warehouse operations. Further needs to acquire this software can be found in the document attached to this solicitation. Award will be made to the lowest offeror. The anticipated period of performance shall be one year from date of award, with anticipated start date on 8/29/2013. (JAN 2006), In order to be considered for an award, an offeror must have completed the online electronic Representations and Certifications located at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a).
