Description
SOURCES SOUGHT NOTIFICATION The Mission and Installation Contracting Command, United States Military Academy, West Point, New York, is seeking sources for the purchase of four Laser Test and Measurement Systems with the following attributes: 1. Description: Modular Lightwave Test and Measurement Platforms. Quantity of four. Attributes: Includes 8 slots. Designed for integration of DWDM fiber optic coupled laser sources and expandable to various optical modules including WDM laser sources, optical switches, and current/temperature controllers for laser diode operation/characterization. Basic Chassis should have turn-key front panel operation as well as remote control via IEEE 488.2 and RS232 with existing LabVIEW drivers. Initial fiber laser capability with 16 interchangeable, 20 mw DWDM FC/APC PM fiber coupled modules on the 100 GHz ITU Grid at 195.80 THz, 195.70 THz, 195.60 THz, 195.50 THz, 195.00 THz, 194.90 THz, 194.80 THz, 194.70 THz, 193.60 THz, 193.50 THz, 193.40 THz, 193.30 THz, 192.60 THz, 192.50 THz, 192.40 THz, and 192.30 THz.. 2. Initial Capability: a. Benchtop, turn-key system with 8 slot chassis capable of sourcing up to 16 Amps. Chassis modules must be field replaceable. b. 16 panel slot blanks (4 per Chassis) to cover unused slots. c. IEEE 488.2 and RS232 interfaces and existing LabVIEW drivers. d. Expandability - additional modules should be available to include WDM laser sources, optical switches, and current/temperature controllers for laser diode operation/characterization.. 3. Sixteen Fiber coupled WDM laser diode modules. 20 mw DWDM FC/APC PM fiber coupled modules on the 100 GHz ITU Grid at 195.80 THz, 195.70 THz, 195.60 THz, 195.50 THz, 195.00 THz, 194.90 THz, 194.80 THz, 194.70 THz, 193.60 THz, 193.50 THz, 193.40 THz, 193.30 THz, 192.60 THz, 192.50 THz, 192.40 THz, and 192.30 THz. 4. Module specifications: Beyond the base center frequency setting listed above, each fiber module should meet the following specifications: a. C Band with Tuning Range: 0.85 nm. b. Accuracy: 0.025 nm, Typ. less than 0.01 nm c. Stability typ.: less than 0.005 nm Over 24 hrs d. Resolution: 1 pm e. Laser Linewidth: less than 10 MHz f. Output Power: Optical Power: 20 mW with accuracy (abs./ rel.): 0.6 dB / 0.4 dB g. Stability (Coherence Control active): less than 0.002 dB Over 15 s, less than 0.005 dB Over 60 min, less than 0.01 dB Over 24 hrs h. Continuously Variable Attenuation Range: greater than 6 dB with 0.01 dB Resolution i. Side Mode Suppression Ratio (SMSR): greater than 40 dB Typ. ( greater than 36 dB Min) at Max Power j. Relative Intensity Noise (RIN): -145 dB/Hz Typ. k. Optical Isolation: greater than 35 dB l. Linewidth: Up to 1 GHz (Adjustable): Shape: Sine, Square, and Triangle m.
