- Description
- Amendment 2 The purpose of this Amendment 2 is to provide Questions and Answers. Q1: Regarding the CTI Cryo pump, do you need just the pump? A1: Only the pump is needed. For all of the pumps, unless it is a direct replacement the controller and interfacing requirements to make the pump operational are also required. Q2: Are rebuilt pumps acceptable? Are new replacements acceptable for discontinued models? A2: Yes and Yes. Q3: What are the general process types for the toxic pumps? A3: Toxic pumps equivalent to Harsh Process, Corrosive, Heavy Duty, etc. Different vendors call these different things. Q4: What are the exact flange types for each pump? A4: The flange types listed in Table 1 are taken directly from the manufacturers' data sheets. Q5: Can you provide information regarding interface requirements? A5: Interfaces shall be direct wire and size replacements. See manufacturers' data sheets for more details. Q6: Please explain the 3 year contract period with respect to pricing. A6: Pricing is to determine awardee and for the first task order, which will be issued during FY2013. After that NIST task orders will be competed among all IDIQ contract holders. The task orders will be competed on price. A vendor is not required to bid on every task order. If NIST requires a pump that is discontinued at any point during the 3 year period NIST will then compete a task order for an equivalent model.
