Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, intends to solicit AAR Defense Systems and Logistics, 1100 N Wood Dale Rd, Wood Dale, IL 60191 on a sole source basis for quantity two (2) each Electronic Latch Tester, P/N 51500-100, NSN 4920-01-391-7041 for testing C-130 aerial delivery system right hand variable restraint latches. It is anticipated that delivery shall be thirty (30) days after contract award, FOB Destination. The Government intends to negotiate this procurement under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
