- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) State Office at Tolland, Connecticut will solicit for Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Program measures to relieve hazards and damages created by Hurricane Sandy on October 29, 2012. The work to be accomplished under this contract includes removal of sand debris from the blocked channel at Nettleton Creek, Silver Sands State Park in Milford, Connecticut. Major items of work consist of Debris removal, training wall removal, rock channel removal, sediment control, mobilization, traffic control, excavation, earthfill, spread spoil material, and contractor quality control. The project is estimated to be between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. A site visit will be conducted on September 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Silver Sands State Park site. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award of this contract. The solicitation package, construction drawings, and specifications will be posted and available from this site on or about September 4, 2013. Bid opening date is October 4, 2013.
