- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NASA Glenn Research Center needs to upgrade existing avionics hardware in our DHC-6 Twin Otter research aircraft to support future research mission requirements. The items to be procured are for new hardware purchase only and NASA Glenn Research Center certified avionics personnel will install the avionics in our research aircraft, which are experimental.The items listed below are direct interface with existing Garmin avionics already installed in the aircraft. Also, the design hardware interfaces for the Garmin hardware listed below are complete. Therefore, NASA/GRC needs to upgrade the existing hardware with the items listed below; no other equivalent will meet our requirements. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the following: The items listed below for purchase is for new avionics components. 1) Qty One (1) ea. Comant Antenna p/n CI-105 The provisions and clauses in the RFP are those in effect through FAC 2005-69. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 336413 and 1,000 respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to NASA Glenn Research Center, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Oh 44135 is required within 60 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. Offers for the items(s) described above are due by August 30, 2013 by 4:30 p.m. EST to NASA Glenn Research Center, Attn: Sandra Brickner, 60-1, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, OH 44135 or by email to sandra.a.brickner@nasa.gov and must include, solicitation number, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative.
