Description

The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is seeking a qualified construction Firm with specialty and experiences in road construction and of roads and sidewalk repairs as designated in the site plan. The work will be performed at the MEDVAMC, 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030. This procurement is set aside 100% for service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) concerns, and the NAICS Codes applicable to this procurement is 237310 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. The magnitude of this project will range between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The awarded contractor shall have 120 calendar days to complete the project in its entirety from the receipt of notice to proceed. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be available for download from www.fbo.gov on August 26, 2013, The anticipated closing date for submitting proposals is 10:00 AM (Central Time) on September 25, 2013. An organized site visit will be posted in the solicitation. Interested offerors are solely responsible for monitoring website www.fbo.gov for amendment(s) to the IFB if any and acknowledging them in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the amendments. All questions related to this announcement and the IFB must be in writing and emailed to contracting officer, Ms. Wanda Thomas at Wanda.Thomas2@va.gov. Faxed inquiries and faxed proposals are NOT allowed. All responsible sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. As of October 1, 2003, all Contractors, both large and small, are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database before an award. Contractors are responsible for the accuracy of information added to SAM. To register, go to http://www.sam.gov/. Pursuant to VAAR 819.7005, all SDVOSB contractors are required to register their businesses at the VIP database http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/general_user/search/default.asp before an award.
