- Statement of Work Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)Subparts 6.302-1 and 5.207, this is a notice of intent to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for preventative maintenance of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Hyra C Mercury Analyzer laboratory equipment to Teledyne Instruments, Inc. for $33,590.00 in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Part 13. This requirement is being awarded to Teledyne Instruments, Inc. on the following basis: (1) Teledyne Instruments is the sole manufacturer of the Hydra C Mercury Analyzer equipment, and (2) Teledyne Instruments, Inc. is the only company that is certified to perform maintenance work on the Hydra C Mercury Analyzer laboratory equipment. The period of performance shall be for a base period of one (1) year, with four (4), one (1) year option periods from the date of award. The place of performance will be at the FDA's facility, which is located at Kansas City District Laboratory, which is located at 11510 West 80th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. It is anticipated that award will be made on or about August 23, 2013. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation within four (4) days after the publication of this synopsis which shall be considered by the agency. Responses received after 4 days or without the required information may not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
