Description
This request is an announcement for information/market research for planning purposes. The synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center/PZIA is seeking potential sources to provide a Consolidated Tool Storage Rack for a Fuel Cell Facility, as well as installation and warranty. The following characteristics describe the requirements for the Mobile Aisle Tool/Equipment Storage System. This functionality is required for the acceptable performance of the storage systems and are mission critical. 1. Mobile Tool/equipment storage system must be manufactured to allow ease of use, storage of all Facilities tools and equipment, and yet be configured to fit an area 15' x 11', and not be any taller than 12'. 2. The System must contain 5 modular "bins/tool racks" 3. Each modular component must be mechanically driven and not manual. With a maximum aisle space of 36" 4. The system must provide storage levels up to 96" in length, and be able to handle over 400lbs in weight 5. System must be have suitable drawers (at least 4ea 6" and 39 12" deep drawers) 6. System must be have suitable shelving that can be raised or lowered to users desired height 7. One modular unit must be back with wire grid to be able to hang pieces of equipment and tools Additional requirements: 1. The system must be installed by factory trained and certified installation technicians. 2. Because significant downtime is unacceptable the vendor should demonstrate that they have the ability to provide service within 8 business hours of being contacted by a factory trained technicians. Vendor must maintain a stock of service parts required. 3. The warranty requirement is as follows: a. 10 year warranty on track system, mobile system b. 5 year warranty on module units and shelving units Firms responding to this announcement shall include Statement of Capabilities (SOC), limited to 5 pages; and if services can be provided under an existing Federal Supply Schedule. Firms shall also be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and should include company name, DUNS number, cage code, point of contact, address and business size using NAICS Code 337215, 500 Employees.
