Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC 27709, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Appropriate Technical Resources, Inc., Laurel, MD 20725 pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for a Double Multitron Pro Incubated Orbital Shaker system that includes the following: I10002P Multitron Pro, 25mm (2 ea); I51900 CO110 Integrated CO2 (2 ea); I52000 HC110 Humidity Option (2 ea); I52200 Humidity carboy kit (1 ea); I40000.1 Double Stacking Kit with storage base, anchor bars, top frame, and 18' storage base (1 ea); I20011 Multitron Tray-Green Squares (2 ea); I50140 Darkening window for Pro cab (2 each) and shipping and handling. The shakers must have the following requirements: 1) capacity to hold 13 2L flasks (or 8 x 4.0L, 48 x 250mL) in a 42' wide footprint; 2) built in platform with an adhesive mat tray; and 3) must use integrated CO2 control and have the ability to control shaker speed, temperature, CO2 and humidity independently in each shaker in the stack. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 7 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 7 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, the order will be issued to Appropriate Technical Resources. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500 Employees. This procurement is to be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12 Commercial Item Acquisition of Commercial Items.
