- K9 kenneling Statement of Work U.S. Customs and Border Protection Border Enforcement Contracting Division Pacific Branch-Spokane Federal Business Opportunities: Intention to Sole Source: Pinebrook Kennels, Milton, VT U.S. Customs and Border Protection intends to award a sole source order for K9 kenneling services, FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302.1. This synopsis is being published for informational purposes only. Notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but we are interested in additional K9 kenneling facilities in the area that meet CBP K9 standards. The Swanton, VT Sector of the U.S. Border Patrol has been doing its own continuous market research for several years and has not found any other kenneling facilities within their area of operations that meet CBP K9 kenneling standards. Due to the remote, rural locations of its facilities and area of operations there are few kenneling facilities available. This acquisition is being procured under FAR part 13 and will result in the issuance of one (1) purchase order not to exceed $150,000 for the total contract. Yearly purchases are estimated to be under $20,000 per year. Contract base year will be August 1 thru Sep 30, 2013 and 4 separate option years of Oct 1 thru Sep 30 of the following years. Attached is an example of the Statement of Work as info for future interested parties.
