Description

THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE NOTICE. The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the 41 U.S.C 253 (c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 (2) (C) (ii) (A) only one responsible source to SEAL Analytical Inc. 10520-C BAEHR RD STE C, MEQUON, WI 53092-3226 U.S.A. Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure an AQ2 Automated Multi-chemistry Analyzer System - Package which include Installation and Training. This notice of intent is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Competitive Proposal. It is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The acquisition is being conducted on the basis of full and open competitions as the need of the Requisitioner can only be met through one source and under the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however; all information received by 27 August 2013 will be considered by the Government. All interested vendors must respond by 27 August 2013, 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time, Responses shall be submitted to the point of contact Patricia Jones at pat.jones@ars.usda.gov. The e-mail subject line shall state: AG-32SC-13-S-010R644423 Notice of Intent to Sole Source. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation document is available. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED. ARS requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must have an "Active Registration" in SAM (System for Award Management).
