- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Hudson Robotics, Inc., 10 Stern Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081-2905, for a Solo Robotic Pipettor System. This package includes: one three-axis robotic platform with all encoded stepper drives, single-piece 316 stainless instrument deck on aluminum frame with leveling feet and SOLOSoft Software; four-position landscape SOLO Deck Accessory Kit which includes 2-nest holder platforms, 3 plate nests, and 1 tip box nest; twelve-channel SOLO Pipette Assembly with 200uL syringe capacity, each tip with disposable tip self-ejecting mandrel; Edgeport-4 USB to 4-port RS-232, DB-9 serial converter; system computer configured with SOLOSoft and SoftLinx V; SOLO Accessory Platform; and Plate Nest Holder to be used with SOLO Accessory Platform. Software is included: SOLOSoft Pipetting Software, SoftLinx Version V System Control Software, e-mail alert which sends message upon Method Completion or Error Condition; SOLO Serial Dilution Guided Operation Wizard; Service installation and training, and method development service (development of 2 custom methods either onsite or remote). This system is desired due to space issues as it fits the space constraints of the laboratory. Unit will be located in limited space under a Level II Biosafety Cabinet and the washer is required to be contained within the Biosafety Cabinet for aerosol and contamination issues. This contract action is for products for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response should be emailed to the purchasing agent at lml3@cdc.gov by 4:30 p.m. EDT, August 26, 2013. This requirement is being fully funded with 2013 PPHF funding.
