- The following information is shared with interested offerors: Q1. The scope of work calls for installing 2 new 8 port switches. Are these replacing the existing switchesOr are you expanding the number of ports and the existing remain? A1. The purpose of the two new switches is to replace the existing switches, not expand the number of ports. Q2. Can you provide me with the dimensions for the new 8 port 3-Com switchesI need this information so that I can size the new Switch Cabinet that is to be provided in Room B055. A2. The dimensions of a 3-Com 8-Port Switch are 8.9 x 5.3 x 1.06 inches. The new vendor provided wall mounted cabinet will be used to secure the JACE-600 connections in Room B055. Q3. The Network Diagram provided with the Statement of Work does not indicate where the 2 new cat-6 cables go. It looked to me like you want to add a drop for the workstation and laptop in Room B088 connected to the new switch in Room B018. If this is correct can you advise me of which wall in Room B088 these drops are to be installed onIf I have the wrong rooms then please indicate where these new cables are to go to and from. A3. The two new network drops in Room B088 are to support the new workstation and laptop. The drops should be placed next to the existing drops. Q4. I know that this building is very secure. Can you provide me with hours that we will be able to access the building from the loading dock? A4. Loading dock access hours are 8:15 am to 5:00 pm.
