- This is a SYNOPSIS not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. The Military Sealift Command has a requirement for the USNS NAVAJO (TATF-169) Regular Overhaul and Dry-Docking on/about 17 February 2014 for 75 days. The place of performance will be a Contractor's facility on the West Coast. Estimated issue date of this solicitation is on/about 25 September 2013. After issuance, solicitation may be obtained on the MSC 1102 Webpage and FebBizOpps website. The Government has determined this will be a 100% small business set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition. The appropriate NAICS Code is 336611. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Major work items include but are not limited to the following: Maintenance and Repair Items Clean, Preserve and Paint Underwater Hull Remove, Inspect, and Repair Shaft/CPP Remove, Test, Repair/ Replace all Sea Valves Open and Inspect all Fuel, Lube Oil and Salt Water Ballast Tanks for ABS Inspection Complete Hull Gage, Approximately 5000 Gaging locations. Remove old Detroit Diesel Generators and Replace with CAT C-18
