Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All items below are brand name or equal. If quoting "or equal" items, please include all physical, functional and performance capabilities. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside, NAICS 332994. THIS IS CURRENTLY AN UNFUNDED REQUIREMENT. Award will be made if funding becomes available prior to 30 Sept 2013. 0001 - 1 EACH: 12' X 10' X 8' Portable field armory (built to spec NSWC 3046-93-2) ARMAG Corp Item # 14412096-A The shell is constructed of ¼" ASTM A-36 steel, supported internally by square tubing in the walls and rectangle tubing and flat bar supports in the ceiling. Interior lined with (2) one-inch overlapping layers of military group IV hardwood. The hardwood is kiln dried, surface treated, and insect free. Exterior and interior steel surfaces are commercially sandblasted to 2 mil profile to remove oils, slag, and rust. Interior steel surfaces are coated with commercial-grade primer and exterior coated with 7 mils (DFT) high solids urethane coating (color: white). Interior walls and ceilings are lined with painted 5/8" plywood and floor is covered with commercial tile. Standard electrical components include a 100 amp single phase 60hz exterior mounted disconnect panel, 4' fluorescent light fixtures, exterior light above the door, heat/AC unit with heavy duty steel exterior shroud, and four internal and one externally mounted electrical outlets. Standard unit has one single exterior door. Hinges are constructed of ¼" steel with ¾" stainless steel center pin and include a grease fitting for easy lubrication. The door opening is framed with ¼" heavy duty angle and the door includes two hinge-side 1½" x 1½" steel security pins to prevent the door from being removed should the hinge be defeated. Unit includes one steel Dutch door with weapons issue port Unit is mounted on heavy duty 6" x 20 lb. beam base or 6" square ¼" wall tubing. Conduit for IDS system 0002 - 1 EACH: item # 3 Lightning protection kit (includes 2 NFPA ground kits) 0003 - 4 EACH: item # 6A Anchor bracket with bolt 0004 - 472 SF: item # 23-A 2'' (50.8mm) styrofoam R10 insulation priced per square foot: (Installed in the walls and Ceiling only.) 0005 - 1 EACH: item # 5008 Ceiling mounted 17,000 BTU heater 0006 - 1 EACH: item # 105 Weapons racks to support: 20 - M4's; 16 - M9's; 4 - GAU-18/ GAU - 21 Machine Guns and 4 - GAU-2 Mini Guns 0007 - 1 EACH: Advantor Plus Intrusion Detection System installed 0008 - 1 EACH: Direct Freight and Handling to Anchorage, AK FOB: Destination Customer to offload. Please include shipping directly to Anchorage AK 99506. Firms that believe that they can provide similar required items must provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer. This announcement constitutes the only written notice. Basis for award will be the best value to the Government. In accordance with FAR 52.212-2, the Government will award a contract/purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following evaluation factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Technical (item specifications) and Price.
