- The VAMC Boston (BHCVAMC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Electro Kinetic Technologies for the procurement of a custom built PONY EXPRESS Motorized Ergo Handling Platform Cart. Electro Kinetic Technologies is the manufacturer of the PONY EXPRERSS Motorized Ergo Handling platform cart PART # MC-10-L on Contract GS-07F-037OU with Solution Dynamics but is does not meet the requirements of VAMC Boston, but is used as a baseline to build/modify to meet VAMC Boston's requirements. This procurement will include the Characteristics: Product Description ENTER PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Require is six (6) Custom Pony Express Motorized Ergo Handling platform carts with heavy-duty steel frame, mid-cart transaxles drive, 11.3" deck height, thumb-wheel style hand controls, two (2) AH 12 volt AGM maintenance free batteries and on-board charging system locate under platform cart. Wire shelving unit will consist of 2 adjustable wire shelves and solid aluminum top shelf. Blue, drape Nylon cover, with zipper enclosure. Enclosure for storage located on rear deck below control. 24" wide x 24" high x 8" deep with keyed lock Electrical: 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz Speed Range: 0-3 mph Capacity: 1500 lbs. (680 kg) on flat surface. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 2:00pm EST on 08/26/2013. Responses should be sent to James.Corbett2@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
