Description
The Generator Relocation project is located at the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) in Hamilton, MT. The Building 27 Generator Relocation Project consists of a new 5,300 sf addition to the existing 1,961 sf building to house relocated generators and their associated transformers, fuel tanks, electrical panels, load bank and screen walls. The work includes the relocation of emergency generators located on the RML campus, remodel of Building 24, and partial site demolition and restoration at Building 7. Other items of note include water and sewer utilities, site concrete, concrete foundations, masonry exterior, miscellaneous and structural steel, metal building systems, metal roofing, new overhead and hollow metal doors, metal stud gypsum walls, joint sealants, painting existing metal panels, miscellaneous specialties, sound panels, metal casework, new fire sprinkler system, plumbing and HVAC, BAS upgrades, fuel system, electrical including an option for a new 1500 kW generator, new site underground primary, pull boxes, paralleling gear, and monitoring system. Work will be phased to allow uninterrupted power to the campus. The magnitude of this project is between $5 Million and $10 Million. All work on the NIH/RML Generator Relocation Project, shall be in performed in accordance with the construction specification and drawings attached at Section J, List of Documents, Exhibits, and Other Attachments.
