- Description
- The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking responsible contractors able to provide Closed Foley Catheter Systems. The VA intends to award one or more Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) to fulfill this requirement. As such, the awarding of the BPA does not guarantee a transaction, but will stand as an agreement between the government and the contractor based upon established prices. Responsible parties are asked to submit a price list of all available products that can meet the product specifications detailed below in accordance with your FSS contract. Any items submitted that are not on the contractor's schedule should be marked as an 'open-market item'. Please include product information that is capable of illustrating that the items listed on the price list meet the requested specifications. The BPAs will be established for one base year, with four option years. Should the options be exercised, new, updated price lists will need to be submitted prior to the option modification. Contractors will be required to provide a timely delivery of the Closed Foley Catheter Systems to all Medical Facilities within the Department of Veteran Affairs, VISN 3. This includes New York Harbor Healthcare System, the Hudson Valley Healthcare System, the James J Peters Healthcare System, the New Jersey Healthcare System, the Northport VA Medical Center. All deliveries must be FOB Destination, and freight charges should be incorporated into the price of the items if necessary. Award(s) and subsequent orders will be made based on lowest price technically acceptable. Technical acceptability is based on the contractor's ability to provide Closed Foley Catheter Systems that meet the specifications detailed below: 1.System must be in line with standard commercial practices normally associated with Closed Foley Catheter Systems 2.The system and all associated devices must be fully compliant with all existing federal regulations 3.The system must be secure yet provide fast, easy access for nursing personnel 4.Closed system with taper resistant seal 5.Package must be conducive to creating and maintaining a sterile field for insertion 6.Must include a foley stabilization device that will keep catheter in place 7.In accordance with the Center for Disease Control Guidelines, catheter must be silver coated and latex free 8.Syringes must be prefilled with either Lubrication Gel and/or Sterile Water. Please identify. 9.Must include the following options or a close variation: Bacteriostatic Tubing w/ Bag, Anti-Reflux Chamber, Patient Education Document, Foley Insertion Checklist Label 10.The following sizes will be needed: 14 French, 16 French, and 18 French 11.Annual usage is estimated at 9,277 catheters. Contractor must be able to meet and fulfill orders in a timely manner
