Description

Contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor, materials and equipment necessary to renovate and construct new space, which includes but is not limited to architectural, interior finishes, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work as shown and specified for the project, 'Renovate CLC Building 211 West' Project number 538-107, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. The project scope is to renovate approximately 16,342 square feet of existing space and add an additional 15,723 square feet of additional new space for the renovation of two 14-bed nursing home care units and ancillary clinical support space in the basement of the building. Work to be completed in 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Plans, specifications and drawings will be available on line on or about August 23, 2013. All specifications and drawings will be available on line through this website and no hard copies will be issued. Estimated cost range is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. A pre-bid conference will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. local time in Building 1, Room 121, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio. All potential contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers are urged to attend as this will be the only site visit for this project. Bid opening is Monday, September 23, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. local time in Building 1, Room 156, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio. This project is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Contractors bidding this project should ensure they are registered in VetBiz Registry at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/, under the appropriate NAICS code for this procurement.
