Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number FA2521-13-Q-B049 shall be used to reference any written quote provided under this request for quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69. This is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. Item Qty Unit Description Unit Price Total Amount The requirement is to provide a radiation measurement count room system for the AFTAC radiochemistry laboratory. The laboratory will consist of twenty high purity germanium gamma counters, two low background alpha/beta counting systems, and a laboratory information management system. The analysis software for the high purity germanium gamma counters must be capable of taking parent daughter relationships into account as well as cascade summing corrections when performing its analysis. The low background alpha/beta counters must be capable of counting up to 16 samples at the same time and must have the lowest background possible.
