Description
The USDA Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest is soliciting offers to provide services for repairs to the Johnston Ridge Observatory Trailway and Walkway System Eruption Trail. These repairs include the following: asphalt crack sealant, saw-cut and removal of damaged asphalt sections, over-excavation of trail subgrade in failed sections, placement of aggregate backfill material, placement of asphalt surface for trail tread, deposit of waste material at designated location, removal of existing benches, over-excavation of native material for bench concrete pads, placement of aggregate material for concrete pad foundation, construction of sacked concrete pads of reach 8 foot benches, installation of Government supplied precast concrete benches, installation of roadway bollards along main entrance of visitor center roadway, and removal and disposal of damaged fence along the northeast section of the trail. This work will require pedestrian control and the work zone must allow pedestrians to have access to the Eruption Trail. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000 A solicitation for this project will be made available and posted to this website on August 25, 2013. Contract time is 273 days after issuance of a Notice to Proceed. The estimated start work date is October 1, 2013. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990 with an applicable size standard of $33.5 million. Offers will be evaluated on Technical Capability (relevant experience, past performance and other factors) and price. Experience and Past performance will be evaluated for the quality and timely completion of similar type projects performing contract work. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to award of a contract. Database prior to award of a contract.
